Video #5
This week I
watched again a video from school of life, it was about luck and how much it
really interferes in our lives. People tend to justify their failures by saying
it was bad luck or think other people successes are just because of good
fortune. But these are just excuses for our mistakes that don’t let accomplish same
success as others have. We use ‘’luck’’ to defend ourselves what we did wrong.
I wonder when will it change?
1. Tame- people tamed cats and dogs so
they could live with them
2. Passive – His passive approach at
work made him redundant
3. Insurance – if you want to have access
to hospitals you need to buy yourself health insurance

There is a psychological theory which distinguishes between two kinds of people: those that assume that their life is controlled by external forces (luck, other people) and those who assume that they control what happens to them themselves. The people described in the video seem to be in the first group - with external locus of control.
